Nux vomica Preliminary discussion:

The commonly used drug Nux Vomica is a gem of the Homeopathic Materia Medica.  We have to use this medicine in everyday practice for patients with various disease symptoms.  It is a chilly-class drug. In acute and chronic diseases, the medicine is used symptomatically, and we get good results.  The medicine was first proved and popularised in homeopathy by Mahatma Samuel Hahnemann, the father of homeopathy.

Medicine Overview:

Nux vomica medicine is prepared from the seeds of a plant called kuchla.
The common name of Nux vomica is poison nut.

Full name: Strychnos nux vomica. Short name: Nux-v.
Action: only polycrest.
Stage: acute and chronic.
Thermal state: extremely chilly-sensitive to cold air.

Remedy keynotes:

Extremely Chilly: Sensitive to cold air
Frequent and ineffectual desire for stools
Must be covered in every stage of fever.
Jealous, bad-tempered, easily excited, and gets bored easily.
It is more useful for those who regularly eat spicy food, take more narcotics, use more patent medicines, and also have the habit of night watching.

Duration: 1 to 7 days, or 15 to 20 days.
Potency: 1 to 200 potencies and higher.

Nux Vom homeopathic medicine is used for a wide variety of diseases and conditions, including

Strychnine-and-brucine

Nux Vomica side effects:

Homeopathic medicines have side effects. Taking any medicine in the wrong form and dosage for more days will cause harm.  In particular, the mother tincture of Nax Vom can cause damage to the spinal cord and nervous system if consumed regularly for a long time.  Alkaloids called strychnine and brucine are found in Kuchela seed. This alkaloid was used as a rat poison in Germany in the 16th century. 

Strychnos-mixed baits were also used to control pigeons, rabbits, porcupines, and other harmful carnivores.  Its effect primarily occurs on the spinal cord, motor neurons, and brainstem.  It can cause a person to faint if consumed in excess. Also, convulsions may occur. contains Strychnos and Brucine as alkaloids, which have a strong effect on the nervous system.  Also, the potency medicine of Nux Vomica has to be consumed in specific doses.  Otherwise, if this medicine is taken continuously for a long time, symptoms of medicinal disease will appear.
